Mitchell Carlin Schulman, Ph.D., LMT

Dr. Mitchell Schulman is a New York State Licensed Psychologist, and Licensed Massage Therapist (New York and Connecticut.)  He holds a Doctorate in Psychology from Hofstra University, and is a graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy's Clinical Massage Therapy Program. 

Dr. Schulman has extensive experience in both psychology and education, and a long-standing professional interest in the health effects of mind-body interaction.  Prior to relocating to Westchester County, he maintained a Private Practice in Pennsylvania for over 20 years.  He has received advanced training in cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, hypnosis and hypnotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and neurofeedback.   Clients bringing psychological issues to Kailo Center will find an experienced, solution-centered therapist available to address their concerns.

Dr. Schulman is also a skilled provider of a variety of bodywork modalities, including Classic Western (Swedish/Relaxation) Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, and Acupressure. He has received advanced training in techniques of MyoFascial Release and Structural Integration, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Heated Stone Massage, and in the flowing style of integrated massage taught at the Esalen Institute in California. Clients requesting massage therapy at Kailo Center will discover Dr. Schulman is able to draw from a number of styles and resources, to create a uniquely individualized bodywork experience.

In addition to holding State licenses, Dr. Schulman is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and is a Certified provider of Perinatal (Pregnancy) Massage. His professional affiliations include membership in the New York State Psychological Association, the Westchester County Psychological Association, The Somatics Society, Associated Bodywork And Massage Professionals, and the American Massage Therapy Association.
